It is absolutely no secret that things have been a little less than normal lately. With a global health pandemic forcing many establishments to close their doors for safety purposes many of us have definitely felt a bit of a sting when it comes to our day to day lifestyles. During all this IKEA saw fit to give the people a taste of normalcy by putting their famous Swedish meatball recipe out there for free. This is nice since being walked through IKEA reminds me of being on lockdown anyways as I dream of the outside non furniture world I wait patiently with whoever brought me there to get to where I can get those meatballs. Important note, some assembly is required.

So now it is recipe time

Meatballs

  • 1lb ground beef

  • 1/2 lb ground pork

  • 1 finely chopped onion

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • 3.5 oz of breadcrumbs

  • 1 egg

  • 5 tablespoons of whole milk

  • salt and pepper

Mix the pork and beef together, throw in the rest and brown it in a hot pan. Once the meatballs are browned throw them in the oven at 350 for 30 minutes then they’re ready. Sauce recipe is in the post along with the meatballs but we decided to do some conversions for our American readers. Enjoy guys!
