A Taste of Tokyo in Dublin

On a quest to get it right the journey of Ramen bar led them to Kagawa, Japan where they found their state of the art noodle maker that allows them to make all their noodles in hour. Just that sentence should let you know that they are serious about what they do. Here you have all the traditional options along with some of their own specials available. It took me a little less than a minute to decide that I wanted the pork belly and lotus root gyoza and we already know that those were amazing so I am not sure if I really need to get into that. Next was the ramen which I was really excited for since I went for the Kokoro Tonkatsu Black which was tonkotsu soup, pork chashu, black garlic oil, green onion, dried nori seaweed, bean sprouts, and seasoned bamboo shoots…I know that is why I ordered it. The black garlic oil is what really drew me to this dish, it sounded like a solid tonkatsu ramen and it was but this charred black garlic oil just added a flavor to it that I was in love with. The pork was great so were the veggies but let me tell you the noodles at this place are really good, that noodle maker was money well spent because it is making all the difference. It is a traditional style noodle but the consistency is what I would say sets this place apart. I can openly say that in these big bowls of ramen I typically still have some noodles left over, but I cleared this bowl until there was only a little broth left over. If you’re in Dublin and craving a hot bowl of soup on a chilly Irish day I would recommend swinging by here to try one of the most authentic ramen bowls in Ireland.
