Donut Man is Glendoras Gift to the World

IT would be difficult to overcomplicate a donut though with all the different dough recipes now I suppose people are doing it. This is not one of those places, the donut man has been serving Route 66 since 1971. An example of that small business American Dream, the Nakano family uses the same ingredients and techniques since the 70s and the quality and consistency is in the taste.

Tiger tail and Strawberry donut

Best known for their fresh strawberry donuts, other seasonal fresh fruit donuts, and tiger tails, donut man cranks them out fresh as ever. Featured on the Today Show and Food Networks “Best Thing I Ever Ate” deservedly so. The fresh fruit donuts are that great blend of a classic donut stuffed with chunks of fresh seasonal fruit and those tiger tails, my personal favorite, are chocolate spread twisted into a giant glazed bar donut. Tiger tails are among my favorite things to eat and a must have any time I am in the area. So you can still get your kicks on Route 66 but hey you can get some damn good donuts too!
