Poke Hana knows how to say Aloha

So being raised in Los Angeles has contributed greatly to the amount of food types that I have been exposed to and have come to really enjoy. That being said one of my favorite cuisines is Hawaiian food, particularly the BBQ. This simple but flavorful cuisine is all over the Los Angeles area with Hawaii being closer to California you have a lot of Hawaiians that end up making their way over. This to me was gold but since moving to Orlando I have found Hawaiian food to be scarce, now poke bowls are all over but this is not necessarily what I was looking for, until I found Poke Hana. Now Poke Hana is definitely a Poke place serving up fresh bowls like nobodies business but what really sings to me are the rice plates. The hula chicken with white rice and Mac salad is my savior, this simple marinated chicken grilled to perfection and drizzled with a spicy aioli hits the spot every time I order it.

In addition to those they pulled pork on wonton nachos and the crispy rice shell tacos prove to consistently be winners as well. So for someone who loves the Hawaiian flavors but isn’t all that much of a seafood person Poke Hana definitely checks some boxes. Wash all that down with a pineapple orange soda and call it a day!
